"Rush George uses written and spoken word to bring awareness to and advocate for necessary change on issues that include gender inequality, racial injustice, prison industrial complex, mental health resources for youth, reentry into society, poverty, and food justice. She works with the Deep Center’s YPAR group and she is affiliated with the Highlander Center for Research and Education’s Seeds of Fire program. She is currently studying sociology at Fisk University."
